Robert Mak, MD, Ph.D.

- Director of the Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program. Accredited by the ACGME for an additional five years.
- Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in nephrology
- Part of the clinical teaching service for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics training for medical students
- Participates in clinical and didactic teaching for medical students and pediatric resident trainees who elect to spend a month in nephrology
- Chairs the Education Committee for the International Pediatric Nephrology Association and lectures throughout the world.

Nadine Benador, M.D.

- Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in nephrology
- Part of the clinical teaching service for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics training for medical students
- Participates in clinical and didactic teaching for medical students and pediatric resident trainees who elect to spend a month in nephrology. An average of 12 pediatric residents per year elect to spend a month in nephrology and between three and four medical students a year take the nephrology elective.
- Teaches nursing staff in the dialysis area

Elizabeth Ingulli, M.D.

Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in renal transplantation.  She is the Medical Director of the P ediatric Renal Transplant Program.

- Participates in clinical teaching for medical students, pediatric resident trainees, nephrology fellows, and pharmacy students both inpatient and outpatient in general nephrology and renal transplantation.
- Participates in didactic lectures for medical students, pediatric resident trainees, and nephrology fellows in general nephrology.
- Participates in didactic lectures to PICU, IMU and clinic nursing staff in the Management of the Pediatric Transplant Patient and Transplant Immunology, The Basics.
- Participated in the national Advanced Course in Immunology August 4-9, 2007, sponsored by the American Association of Immunologists. Dr. Ingulli taught the section on Transplant Immunology.

Stanley Mendoza, M.D.
- Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in nephrology
- Part of the clinical teaching service for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics training for medical students
- Participates in clinical and didactic teaching for medical students and pediatric resident trainees who elect to spend a month in nephrology

Kirtida Mistry, MD
- Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in nephrology
- Part of the clinical teaching service for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics training for medical students
- Participates in clinical and didactic teaching for medical students and pediatric resident trainees who elect to spend a month in nephrology

Sanjay Nigam, M.D.

- Serves as mentor to three graduate students and 2 K awardees, in addition to a number of post-docs in a research group of 18-20 students with a strong collaboration with five junior investigators
- Lecturer, Renal Physiology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering and Pharmacology
- Presenter for talks to the Renal Division and Renal Fellow Teaching conferences
- Member of eight thesis committees in BMS, Bioengineering and Literature
- Faculty sponsor for several postgraduate researchers

Vivian Reznik, M.D.
- Actively involved in training medical students, pediatrics residents and fellows in nephrology
- Part of the clinical teaching service for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics training for medical students
- Participates in clinical and didactic teaching for medical students and pediatric resident trainees who elect to spend a month in nephrology.
- A regular advisor for medical student Independent Student Projects (ISPs)
- Is the Director of the UCSD junior faculty development program, the National Center of Leadership in Academic Medicine [NCLAM]
- Lecturer for the following courses: Case Studies in Health Care Programs: Poor and Underserved Populations, UCSD; Problem Solving in Healthcare, California Western School of Law
