• Develop a nationwide post-marketing surveillance program that would permit early identification of the fetal safety or teratogenicity of newly marketed drugs, as well as drugs for which little or no information is available.

• Increase ability to provide teratogen counseling to a higher percentage of pregnant women throughout California.
